Pistons Playoffs?

WHY? Why couldn’t The Detroit Pistons make the playoffs? Was it the team players? Was it the coaches? Both? Or the lack of fan support?

The Pistons are staggering and owner, Tom Gores, needs to do something about it. Possible job eliminations of the Head Coach, Lawrence Frank and Pistons President, Joe Dumars are currently being taken into consideration.

Could this be what the Pistons need to ensure more victories? We can only hope.

The Pistons are now tied with the Washington Wizards for the 7th worst record in the NBA. Yes they did win the last four games played but this marked only the second time of the season that they hit that streak. We almost thought there was a chance for that No. 8 spot in the playoffs but fans and Gores are left disappointed once again.

Monday night at The Palace was the last home game and although the cheers were loud due to a win over the 76ers it is sad to say that the month of May won’t be bringing playoff basketball to Auburn Hills.

The Pistons rank 28th of 30 NBA teams in attendance but dedicated fans still believe in better future seasons to come. Super fan, Brittany Baxter, said, “I know they are working hard. They will be good one day and all those fans will be back on the Pistons bandwagon. I am not a bandwagon fan."

What’s a team without its fans? Nothing.

Luckily, there are still loyal Detroit Pistons fans out there that are keeping the faith.
