We are pleased to welcome Maurice Cheeks as head coach to the Detroit Pistons organization. It was a long stressful interview process but we finally found the right man for the job. We have taken too many risks in the past leading to many failed head coaches for the Pistons players. Reaching our 33rd head coach we believe the team is now in safe reliable hands with Mo Cheeks. He impressed us with his extensive basketball knowledge as a former NBA player with the 76ers for 11 years as well as his outstanding communication and leaderships skills developed from previous coaching experiences with the 76ers, Trail Blazers and OKC. His talents are what this franchise needs for future successes. We want to win games and win back the hearts of our loyal Pistons fans. This is our time to revamp the image of Detroit and increase viewership by reaching out to future Piston fans throughout Detroit's communities. With dedication and determination, Cheeks has developed new strategy ideas to reach our goal of creating greater public awareness of the Pistons organization.
DEFENSE! DEFENSE! DEFENSE! Let the games begin!

Coach Options for Detroit Pistons

With many coaches available right now to take on the position for the new head coach of the Detroit Pistons, which one do you believe is the right fit? Stan Van Gundy would be a wise choice except he is most likely to take on a better offer elsewhere. Joe Dumars has made it clear that he doesn't want anything to do with the option for Bill Laimbeer as head coach. So who else is out there? Lindsey Hunter? He was a fantastic player in his previous years with the Pistons but it might be taking too much of a risk right now for the NBA team to hire him. They want winning results and don't want to risk picking the wrong person for the job. Nate McMillian has been making headlines as of lately to be one of the perfect matches for the team's new head coach. Does he have what it takes? Plenty of options are out there but he seems to be a great fit for them team and a perfect mentor for the younger players to take direction from. Help make a choice and voice your word for #VoteForCoach.
Check out what BleacherReport has to say about this decision for the Detroit Pistons.

Phil Jackson's Help
Detroit Pistons can get all the help they can receive in finding the new head coach for the team.
Phil Jackson is good friends with Tom Gores and has agreed to help in the search for the perfect
coach to starting winning games. He is not being placed as an official part of the Detroit Pistons
team but is more than willing to help. This is a great idea on their part and hopefully can make a
difference in the future for the Pistons. Click the link below to follow up on the story.

Head Coach
Do you think Joe Dumars is jealous of Bill Laimbeer?? He has a great coaching record winning three WNBA championships with the Detroit Shock. He was even once awarded coach of the year. Joe Dumars may need to learn how to organize better interviews because the last 3 head coaches for the Detroit Pistons have been failures. Keep your head up my fellow Pistons fans our time is coming!

Pistons Playoffs?
WHY?
Why couldn’t The Detroit Pistons make the playoffs? Was it the team players?
Was it the coaches? Both? Or the lack of fan support?
The Pistons are
staggering and owner, Tom Gores, needs to do something about it. Possible job
eliminations of the Head Coach, Lawrence Frank and Pistons President, Joe
Dumars are currently being taken into consideration.
Could this be what the
Pistons need to ensure more victories? We can only hope.
The Pistons are now
tied with the Washington Wizards for the 7th worst record in the
NBA. Yes they did win the last four
games played but this marked only the second time of the season that they hit
that streak. We almost thought there was a chance for that No. 8 spot in the
playoffs but fans and Gores are left disappointed once again.
Monday night at
The Palace was the last home game and although the cheers were loud due to a
win over the 76ers it is sad to say that the month of May won’t be bringing
playoff basketball to Auburn Hills.

The Pistons rank 28th of 30 NBA
teams in attendance but dedicated fans still believe in better future seasons
to come. Super fan, Brittany Baxter, said, “I know they are working hard. They
will be good one day and all those fans will be back on the Pistons bandwagon.
I am not a bandwagon fan."

What’s a team without its fans? Nothing.
Luckily,
there are still loyal Detroit Pistons fans out there that are keeping the
faith.
